Brittany North MS, CCC-SLP, RYT-500

Speech Therapist

Brittany received her speech-language pathology degree from New York University and is licensed to practice speech therapy in Wisconsin, Maryland, and New York. Her educational and experiential history includes an MA in linguistics and completion of a Ph.D. coursework in Native American language documentation and revitalization. Speech therapy was a natural fit following the Ph.D. coursework, as it allowed for closer connections with individuals and families while focusing on her passion, language. Therapeutically, Brittany has treated patients from 6 months to 102 years old, with a range of disorders, delays, and concerns. She particularly enjoys targeting swallowing, cognition, articulation, expressive language, and strongly believes in tailoring sessions to each client’s unique interests. Brittany is also a yoga teacher and incorporates movement and mindfulness into many speech therapy sessions. During free time, you can usually find Brittany learning something new: playing the ukulele, speaking Icelandic, or cooking a new vegan recipe!
