Katherine Carter - VP Human Resources

Katherine has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources for various for-profit and non-profit industries. She previously held senior leadership positions with American Express Travel Related Services Co, Inc. where she served as Human Resources Leader for 11 years. Katherine implemented new recruitment strategies, provided organizational planning and consultation and talent management initiatives for numerous divisions. She worked with partners such as the National Academy Foundation to help create interest and launch careers in Travel and Tourism. Katherine worked for 7 years as Sr. Director of Human Resources for the YWCA, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to empower women and eliminate racism. The YWCA has over 26 locations including a 24 hour rape crisis center, before and after school care, summer camps, fitness and aquatic programs, and women’s programs. Katherine’s most recent position was VP of Human Resources with The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, a national voluntary health organization, where she worked for over 5 years and implemented organization-wide strategies in the areas of compliance, culture, employee relations, and diversity and inclusion. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Binghamton University.
