Michael Mancuso, PT is licensed to practice in the state of New York and has been practicing for five years. He has experience in the treatment of orthopedics, geriatrics, sports medicine, post-operative, and pre-operative cases at outpatient facilities. Michael is a Certified Kinesiotape Practitioner , Myofascial Decompression Certified (cupping), running rehab, and hip specialist using techniques such as, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, motor control relearning, and mobilizations. Michael became a PT for the love of helping people and the love of the human body. He enjoys sports, weekend warrior, attending sporting events, and golf.
Roslyn Sofer, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS is a physical therapist licensed to practice in the State of New York for the past 55 years. She is Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association. She has expertise in treatment of people with both musculoskeletal and neurological conditions using a wide combination of treatment approaches such as mobilization, muscle energy, soft tissue work, myofascial release, mobilization with movement, motor control, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation). In addition to treating patients, Dr. Sofer also is on faculty in the School of Health Sciences at Touro College in Bay Shore, NY where she teaches Evaluation and Management of People with Musculoskeletal and Neurological Conditions and at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY., where she teaches Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy.
Emma Petkofsky, MS, OTR/L, is a graduate of New York University with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Originally from Virginia, she attended the University of Virginia and received a B.S.Ed in Kinesiology with a concentration in sports medicine. She became interested in rehabilitation after working in recreational therapy programs including therapeutic horseback riding, adaptive swimming and tennis programs. After volunteering in a hand therapy clinic as an undergraduate student she developed a strong interest in upper extremity rehabilitation and was able to further explore this interest with a clinical affiliation at Motion Midtown East. After graduating she gained experience with inpatient rehabilitation at Kings County Hospital before returning to Midtown East. When she is not in the clinic she loves to explore NYC through two of her favorite pastimes, running and eating.
