Chief Clinical OfficerMike is a founding member of MOTION PT Group where he serves as Chief Clinical Officer. He is a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist, a member of the Mt. Sinai Trusted Rehab Network Advisory Board, and a Hospital for Special Surgery Credentialed Advanced Hip Clinician. Mike helped form MOTION PT Group in 2015, having co-founded STAR (Sports Therapy And Rehabilitation) Physical & Occupational Therapy in 1999.
After serving as Team Physical Therapist for the USA Eagles Men’s National Rugby Team, Mike was recruited by Major League Rugby organization Rugby United New York to head up their Physical Therapy Services. Mike has served as Director of Physical Therapy Services for New York Athletic Club Men’s Rugby Team for more than 20 years. Mike was published in James Andrews, MD’s renowned medical textbook The Athlete’s Shoulder and has published on various sports medicine topics.
Mike graduated from Fairfield University with an Economics degree in 1986 and New York University with a Physical Therapy degree in 1991. He worked as a Senior Physical Therapist at Lenox Hill Hospital, and in 1993 became a member of their sports medicine team working at the Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma. In 1998 Mike was awarded his certification in Manual Therapy from the Institute of Physical Therapy, and in 1999 he was awarded certification as a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist from the American Physical Therapy Association.
