Ricky Cheng, PT, DPT, CSCS received his Bachelor of Science degree in Integrative Physiology and Biology from UCLA in Los Angeles, California. He went on to obtain his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University. Ricky completed clinical affiliations in numerous outpatient orthopedic clinics and worked with a wide range of population groups including NY Rugby athletes. In addition, he also spent time at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center working with post-operative total hip, knee, and shoulder patients. During his time at Columbia University, Ricky also became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the goal of furthering his knowledge of exercise physiology, programming, and prescription.

Ricky strives to help patients not only reach their rehabilitative goals but also aims to educate them on how to promote and maintain their health. He is currently interested in sports specific therapy with the goal of obtaining his OCS/SCS certifications in the near future.

When not at MOTION, Ricky enjoys spending time with his friends, exploring the great outdoors, playing tennis, experiencing all of New York’s expansive list of restaurants, and attempting to cook newfound recipes at home.
