Katie Plassche MS, OTR/L
Occupational TherapistKatie Plassche, MS, OTR/L, received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2017. Prior to graduate school, she received her BFA in Industrial Design with a minor in Sculpture and went on to design children’s products which fits her fun loving personality. Katie also enjoys playing sports on the weekends. After sustaining a knee injury, she pursued a career change to outpatient rehab as an OT. Katie believes strongly in using a patient-centered approach to help achieve personalized goals anywhere from being able to open a jar to engaging in competitive sports. She has a strong background in treating a wide variety of upper extremity diagnoses, including post-surgical trauma, orthopedic, and neurological disorders. She is proficient in splinting and has provided on-site surgeon splinting services in the NYC area. She is currently working toward obtaining her Certified Hand Therapist credential.
