I can’t say enough great things about Motion Sports Medicine at Rego Park! After breaking my pinky finger, I was struggling with stiffness, weakness, and limited movement in my right hand, dominant hand. Usually an occupational therapist would be assigned for recovery from an injury like this but my insurance only approved physical therapy and I was blessed to find Dr Schiliro who is a physical therapist and also certified hand specialist. From my very first session, Dr Schiliro was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging.

Dr Schiliro designed a personalized treatment plan that helped me gradually regain strength and flexibility. Her hands-on approach, combined with expert guidance on exercises I could do at home, made all the difference in my recovery. Thank you Dr. Schiliro for not just being a professional but for anchoring your professionalism with genuine compassion and warmth.After my procedure, I came to her seeking to have complete range of motion in my right thumb that’s been injured and locked for a year. I’m happy to report that after a couple of weeks, I’m able to return to working within my right hand where I couldn’t before therapy. If you are looking for a Hand Therapist then, look no further. I had completely severed all the tendons in my left thumb. I was fortunate enough to have my surgery right away( by an esteemed surgeon). He said it was imperative to go to Dr Schiliro because she’s the best! ( because btw I work with my hands as well!!!)
When I walked in the office I was broken and scared . Scared of my injury and of my future as a result of my injury . Dr Schiliro calmed any fears I had from day one. She was caring, she was confident,she was informative and she was professional but most of all she what the hell she was doing and inspired confidence in me that I could recover unhindered by my injury!! She delivered for sure !!!! I am so grateful to her

I absolutely adore Dr Schilliro, she is incredibly knowledgable and so attentive to individual cases and needs, and so warm and friendly. It is easy to see that she authentically cares about each of her patients, and was so encouraging and helpful to me during my healing process. I actually looked forward to my appointments with her simply because of her sweet personality, and also because she helped me climb all the mountains I encountered while healing and helped me work through all the little challenges with pain and mobility that would pop up during the course of rehabilitating my wrist. I am truly grateful. And the office manager Jennifer is wonderful as well! And was incredibly helpful navigating the whole insurance confusion which was becoming overwhelming for me, and for that I’m truly grateful as well

Just finished my 16 weeks therapy with Dr. Schirilo. I had taken a bad spill off my bike and broke my wrist and hand in 5 places. I was in pain and, as a music teacher and practicing musician, scared about what I could hope to accomplish in my recovery. I found Dr. Schirilo to be extremely knowledgeable, caring and encouraging, but also pushing you to get to the next level of strength and flexibility. She assured me I would get back to doing what I love. Within two months I was back to teaching my students keyboard and guitar.

Breaking bones and the road to recovery isn’t fun or easy, but considering that I really felt like I was in the best hands, pun intended. Her receptionist Jennifer was a pleasure, and although I am done and looking forward to moving beyond my injury I’m going to miss my weekly sessions there. I still have a little ways to go towards recovery, but I could not be happier with the care I received. Highly recommended for any hand related injury.

Benefit-GHI/Emblem doesn’t allow for OT, and Dr. Schirilo is one of the few PTs that specialize in hands. That’s a G-dsend to know your therapy is in the hands of someone who knows what they’re doing.

I highly recommend Dr Schiliro. It was really amazing experience. I had ganglion cyst removal surgery on my right wrist. After surgery, I barely can use my right hand for 2 weeks due to pain. Dr Schiliro is so knowledgeable, professional, and patient. Each section, she evaluated my hands ability, set up goal and exercise plan, and went through each training with me. Now my right hand is back to normal. Jennifer is so detailed and knowledgeable for managing everything. Thank you so much Dr Schiliro and Jennifer.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Susan Collura Schiliro! I sought out her services and expertise while recovering from distal radius fracture surgery and carpal tunnel release surgery. She is very welcoming and takes time to explain the different techniques and exercises that will be part of your recovery program. I never felt rushed and my appointments generally started on time which is often not the case with medical appointments. I would definitely recommend her for your physical therapy needs.
