I was sent to Motion PT for a “custom brace” following hand surgery. After 15 minutes, I left the office with a thin sock and a melted piece of plastic with velcro tape stuck to it. Within hours, it was clear that this custom brace was not only painful and uncomfortable but completely impractical to wear. I immediately switched it out for a $20 store-bought brace which was far more comfortable and practical, and basically forgot all about the custom brace. Weeks later, about to graduate out of the brace during recovery, I got a bill in the mail. Motion PT charged $425 for the brace. I was absolutely horrified. Not only was the brace completely unwearable, but it had taken only minutes to make - there was no special mapping or fitting involved. For that price, I could’ve bought 21 of the braces that had actually aided in my recovery! When I called to see if there was a resolution we could reach, their response was “come back in and we’ll fix it”, to which I replied “I don’t need it anymore”, to which they replied “well then… tough”. I feel totally scammed - this has added insult to injury. I can’t believe I am out hundreds of dollars for a useless piece of plastic. I would’ve been upset about paying $50 for this thing, but hundreds?? Even my doctor said they should've been more transparent about the price. (Not to mention that they sent me home with a business card with other patients’ private information scribbled on the back - yikes). Save yourself the money and the headache and go somewhere else.

					Highly recommended!  My OT, Rachel, is superb.  She has a wonderful demeanor and is very skilled at her job.  The office staff is also kind and professional.  It’s also nice that my orthopedic practice is in the same building!
