McKenzie Approach
The McKenzie Method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), is an approach for diagnosing and treating issues related to the spine and limbs. Developed by New Zealand physical therapist Robin McKenzie in 1981, this method focuses on empowering patients to take charge of their own treatment. Rather than classifying problems based solely on anatomy, MDT organizes patient complaints by how they present clinically. Research has confirmed the reliability of these classifications.
