Physical TherapistCarol-Anne Hicks, PT, DPT, BSPTS, is a highly skilled physical therapist with advanced training and certifications in multiple specialized areas. She earned her education from New York Medical College and the University of California, Davis.
As a certified pelvic floor rehabilitation specialist through the Herman & Wallace Institute, Carol-Anne provides expert care for pelvic floor disorders in both women and men. She also has extensive expertise in treating complex spinal disorders such as scoliosis and kyphosis, utilizing the Schroth method. Her certifications include the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS Level C2), the ISICO Scientific Exercises Approach to Scoliosis (SEAS), and the Lyon Method.
Carol-Anne’s diverse skill set includes training in Stecco Fascial Manipulation, the Douglas Heel Be Activated method, dance medicine, dry needling, cupping, kinesiology taping, and Rock Blades Functional Movement Training (FMT). She is also proficient in manual therapy techniques such as Integrative Manual Therapy, muscle energy techniques, positional release, strain-counterstrain, craniosacral therapy, visceral and gastrointestinal mobilization, and neural tissue tension release.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Carol-Anne brings a unique perspective as a classically trained ballet dancer and certified Yoga and Pilates instructor, allowing her to integrate movement-based approaches into her therapeutic practice.
