
Irene Lee PT, DPT, SCS
MOTION Director of Mentorship and EducationIrene Lee, PT, DPT, SCS, is MOTION’s Director of Clinical Education and Mentorship. Irene is a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist, HSS Rehabilitation Credentialed Advanced Hip Specialist, Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner, Certified in Myofascial Decompression (“cupping”), and RYT 200 hour Yoga teacher. After receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University, she went on to gain a wide variety of experience in sports/orthopedics from several esteemed hospitals and private settings in NYC and NJ.
Her passion for sports is reflected in her role as the Head Physio and Medical Provider for the Old Blue Rugby Club, as well as her work with various local club and college rugby teams, including the former Rugby United New York—NYC’s professional rugby league. She has also volunteered as medical staff for prestigious events such as the NYC Marathon, the American Volleyball Professionals Tournament, the NYC Cup Soccer Tournament, and Play Rugby USA. Additionally, Irene has been invited multiple times to join the Sports Medicine Staff at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO, where she has played a crucial role in helping Team USA athletes prepare for the Summer and Winter Olympics. She also traveled with the NYC Handball Team to China for the inaugural Women’s Super Globe competition.
