Physical TherapistKaren Correia, PT, PhD holds a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Her interest in manual therapy began during research at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, leading her to earn a DPT from SUNY Stony Brook. Karen has extensive experience treating musculoskeletal and movement disorders across the lifespan, with a special focus on foot and ankle dysfunction. She combines manual therapy with movement-based interventions to reduce pain and improve balance. A dedicated educator, she has taught at both academic and professional levels and authored Your Body in Motion to promote proactive movement health. Her treatment philosophy centers on identifying root causes and empowering patients through education and individualized care.
