Clinic Director, Physical TherapistKyle McDermott, PT, DPT, OCS, Cert. MDT, graduated from Becker College in Massachusetts in 1999 with an Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy. He then went on to Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania to continue his education. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2002 and subsequently his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2005. He then moved to Baltimore in 2005 and has since been working as a PT in outpatient orthopedics. In addition to his work in the outpatient setting he also has experience in worksite injury prevention and ergonomics with four years spent working with the Baltimore Lockheed Martin site. He has taken a variety of continuing education courses over his career with focus mostly on orthopedic injuries and post-operative rehabilitation with a special interest in shoulder rehab. Kyle is Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through The American Physical Therapy Association. He has studied various methods of manual therapy for joint mobilizations as well as soft tissue techniques. He has advanced training for treatment of spinal disorders and is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy through The McKenzie Institute. Kyle integrates a variety of treatment approaches in the compassionate care of his patients with a mixture of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy.
