
Lori Lucchi Caponigro OTR/L
Occupational TherapistLori Lucchi-Caponigro a certified occupational therapist since 1981 earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University in 1984.
While at NYU, Lori worked at the United Cerebral Palsy Center as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Post graduation, she worked at ARC, Blythedale Children’s Hospital, Boces of NY, Dr. Doriet Bialer’s private pediatric practice, Dr. L. Lane’s hand practice and North Shore University Hospital, specializing in adult and pediatric upper extremity birth defects and hand injuries. Lori has collaborated with many hand surgeons in the tristate area and pediatric hand and upper extremity surgeons from other states. She co-owned Hand Therapy of Rockland and Hudson Valley Developmental Services for 30 years until 2019.
Lori has extensive experience in treating hand and upper extremity injuries, with expertise in splinting and wound care. She traveled for 12 years with Healing the Children of Northeast, Inc. treating severe burn contractures, wounds, fabricating splints and instructing the parents on wound care, splint care, skin care and individualized home exercise programs.
Lori is certified in The Listening Program of Advanced Brain Technologies, a Master of Reiki and a Therapeutic Coach and Tollerra Spiritual healer.
She is an active member of The American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Society of Hand Therapist.
