Andrew Cloutman PT, MS
Clinic Director, Physical TherapistAndrew S. Cloutman, PT, MS, received his Bachelor and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 1998. His first position was at Albert Einstein College of Medicine Division of Montefiore Medical Center as a staff physical therapist and later as a senior staff physical therapist. While there, Andrew worked in multiple settings including inpatient acute care, inpatient acute rehabilitation, and outpatient physical therapy. After 5 years at Albert Einstein, Andrew started his first private practice outpatient physical therapy endeavor in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx. He shared office space and helped manage a caseload with a variety of diagnoses working in close conjunction with two physiatrists. During this period, Andrew also worked for Visiting Nurse Services of Westchester providing physical therapy in the home health care setting.
In 2007, Andrew started his second private practice endeavor in Irvington, New York known as Rivertown Physical Therapy, with the goal of providing a high level of skilled physical therapy to a local community. For the next 12 years, Andrew grew and developed his private practice. His practice joined MOTION PT Group in 2019. He continues as the Clinical Director of the practice he started, which is now known as MOTION Sports Medicine – Tarrytown. Andrew is an avid road and mountain cyclist regularly logging 6-10 hours per week. Andrew also had a hip resurfacing procedure (a type of hip replacement) in 2013. The procedure allowed him to have a unique perspective which he has been able to apply to better understand the physical therapy population that he serves. It is also this condition which influenced Andrew to choose the profession of physical therapy which he is very passionate about.
